Trama
Deirdre starts as secretary at the yard. Jerry is annoyed at first as he wasn't told but they come to an understanding. Rita rips up a postcard from Len saying "wish you were here". Norma starts to throw herself at Ken again. He agrees to let her cook dinner for him. The neighbours try to cover up Hilda's gossiping for Elsie's sake. Ken stands Norma up to see Rita. Maggie persuades Elsie to brave the Rovers. When the Ogdens insult her, Alan hits Stan and a fight breaks out.
