British citizens with spouses from outside Europe are unable to bring them into the UK unless they earn over a certain amount, even if the couple has children. The programme follows four people with spouses in Thailand, Taiwan, South Africa and Russia as they take on the legal system for the chance to be allowed to live together as a family
