In the eleventh century, Hasan Sabbah captures the castle of Alamut and founds a mysterious movement that challenges the established order. While his old friend Nizam al-Mulk strives to protect the empire, Azazil—a warrior freed from the dungeon—emerges as his most loyal *fedai*. In this tale where friendship turns to enmity, love, faith, betrayal, and the lust for power fuel a conflict that alters the course of history.
